Is it alright to have a Hindu wedding first and then the christian wedding?
Hi there! I am a roman catholic girl, and in relationship with a Hindu guy for the past 6 years. We are looking forward to get married in the next 6 months of time. Our families have also agreed on this issue and are quite happy with this decision of ours. But both the sides are looking forward to get us married as per their own tradition. Is it alright for us to have the traditional Hindu wedding first and then the wedding at the church?
I am roman catholic as well and I’m going through the same thing. It is absolutely fine to do both. I am too. Except my soon-to-be is Wicca. The only concern I have is that in the Roman catholic church I believe that to be married he has to convert and take classes and take first communion. (Don’t quote me but I’m pretty sure it is, ask your priest first) I offer up my congratulations to you and your special someone. I believe if you can do both it will broaden your horizon and add a little more insight to the others religion. I think that because you both are willing to participate in both religious ceremonies shows that you truly deeply care for each other and you found a rare thing indeed.
